Certified Bureau of Modern Protection. Est. 2026. No monitor tested here has ever actually been at risk.
The Bureau of Modern Protection was established to defend monitors from a phenomenon most of them stopped being able to suffer from years ago. It has continued its work undeterred.
A single certified line of text is set in motion and bounced diagonally across the screen at all times, on the theory that a pixel in motion cannot be a pixel burned in. No peer review has been requested.
Extremely rarely, the line strikes a corner of the screen exactly, both edges at once. The Bureau has no official stance on what this means, but logs it anyway, with enthusiasm it does not log elsewhere.
Modern displays have not required burn-in protection in any meaningful sense for over a decade. The Bureau's charter predates this fact and has not been revised to reflect it, nor is it expected to be.
